The Ariegois originates from the southern region of France, in the Midi Pyrenees. It is a breed that is derived from crossing the Grand Gascon and Grand Bleu de Gascogne hounds with local Briguet dogs in France.
Overall, the Ariegeois is a very affectionate and quite scenthound . It is mainly used for hunting wild boars in Italy. |
