The Armenian Gampr originated from the highlands of Armenia. Its original purpose was to guard lifestock. It was officially recognized as a breed by the International Kennel Union or IKU in April 2011.
The breed has a large , well defined head with a strong and muscular back. Its well developed coat helps to protect it from the harsh conditions of the highlands. |
